Wednesday Night Suppers Resume at Carlton Winemakers Studio:
Wednesday Night Suppers have resumed at Carlton Winemakers Studio. On June 4th I’ll be joined by Gregory Smith, chef at Noble Rot, one of Portland’s favorite wine bars. Dinner will be three courses—look for a menu soon—and is $30 per person, not including wine. These dinners are a bargain as well as a lot of fun. Unfortunately, until it's warm enough to sit outside, they are also limited to 20 people at each of the two seatings. For more information and to make a reservation, please click here
We were pleased to receive some nice reviews in the April issue of Wine Enthusiast.
2005 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 90 points
2005 Counoise Columbia Valley 89 points
2006 Pinot Noir Momtazi Family Vineyard 92 points
See pages 50 and 114 for Paul Gregutt’s precise and thoughtful comments. Alas, the Counoise and the Momtazi Pinot are nearly sold out. As of March 1, there was still some WV Pinot remaining, but it won’t last long. Click here to order.

And save the date: On Thursday, July 24th, I’ll be participating in a pre-IPNC dinner at the Brookside Inn in Carlton, OR. Details to follow, but the chef will be Jason Wilson of Seattle’s Crush, and Domaine d'Ardhuy will be joining me to enhance the festivities. Click here to learn more about the inn.
